This was for a light project in class. I used an artificial light that only lit half of his face. I love the emotional feel he's giving off. He looks tired, and un-happy. Most of his face is in focus, the background is mostly black.

for this picture I used a different colored light bulb. I like it because the background is in complete darkness. I really like her facial expression as well. She looks angry/concerned. It was a short exposure, medium/high ISO

Jim Lennon's Studio

At Jim Lennon's studio, it was a very good experience. Hearing him talk about clients, equipment, & the processes he goes through everyday was beneficial. When it comes to the business aspects, i believe Jim is well organized. With the help of his wife he's doing what he does today very well.

His work is fascinating, although advertising is his main focus his fine art photography is beautiful. I enjoyed his studio, it looked prepared and organized. I did notice that he had a lot of computers and things that guided him to his results. 

I learned from this visit that being a professional photographer takes an extreme amount of patients and time. Nothing can be rushed because then it won't go well. I also learned that starting off as just an assistance can make a huge difference within the years. 

I took this at the train station. I'm overwhelmed on how much this picture was transformed. Before light-room it was extremely orange. I took this at night with a slow shutter speed to capture the motion of the train.
